If you take a river cruise between Moscow and St. Petersburg, you may want to board a ship run by VODOHOD River Cruises. That’s because this company has hired two cats to oversee operations on their Nikolay Chernishevsky cruise ship.

One cat’s name is Bosun, which is Russian for “boatswain” that basically means “boat janitor.” The other cat’s name is Matros, which is Russian for “deckhand.” Both cats are in charge of keeping the ship rodent-free, although they tend to sleep on the job a lot.
