You may love your cats, but should you let your cat eat off the counter? Of course, it doesn’t really matter what you want since your cat will do what it wants anyway, but you should still debate that question just because it will give you something to do while your cat is busy disobeying your will and commands.

The pros of letting a cat eat off the counter is that it will get exercise jumping up and down. The cons is that a cat walks through a dirty litter box and then struts across your counters where you put food. If you wouldn’t put your food in a litter box, you may not want your cat to walk across the counter.

Then again, try telling your cat that certain places in your house are off limits. That won’t work so let your cat walk anywhere it wants since it’s going to do that anyway.
