Believe it or not, some cats may not like being cooped up inside a house all day long for the rest of their lives. In fact, many cats enjoy being outside. While being outside usually presents hazards to a cat such as dogs or cars, you can minimize the risk to your cat by safety traveling with your cat at all times.

To get your cat acquainted with traveling, it’s best to start by taking your cat outdoors on a regular basis. This lets the cat know that being put in a carrying cat is safe. As the cat gets used to being outdoors and seeing new sights, you can gradually start expanding the time the cat remains outdoors and the amount of time the cat remains in the cat carrier.

Before you know it, your cat might feel comfortable taking long distance flights with you to accompany you to your next business meeting or vacation.
