Hiroshima’s Onomichi City Museum of Art has been advertising its new cat exhibition called “Cats – Mitsuaki Iwago Photography Exhibition.” This collection of photos shows happy felines captured in a number of sunny street-side poses by Iwago, a 66-year-old Tokyo-born photographer.

Apparently news of this cat photography exhibit must have even reached the feline world because shortly after the exhibit opened, a black cat kept trying to walk through the doors where a guard politely turned the cat away.

Since pictures of this cat appeared on Twitter, fans around the world have come to the cat’s support. Perhaps next time the museum will let the curious feline into the exhibit to enjoy the art just like any person might do.
