Bethy Campbell and her husband, Pasey Pettitt, live in Spokane, Washington. When they saw a picture of Muffin the cat on an adoption site, they knew they had found the perfect cat for themselves. The trouble was they lived in Washington and Muffin was in an animal shelter in Iowa.
The couple decided they had to rescue Muffin so they made the 1,700 mile, one-way trip to Iowa. When they arrived, they weren’t disappointed.
“He far exceeded our expectations,” Campbell says. “We just walked in and he was immediately so sweet. He just let us pet him and came right up to us.”
