Today, 36.1 million U.S. households own one or more cats, which means there are at least 36.1 million Americans who have to clean litter boxes everyday no matter how much money they might make. Cats have a way of putting everyone in their place.
Not surprisingly, research suggests that cats are wilder than dogs, simply tolerating humans but still remaining uncontrollable creatures no different than the average teenager. If you want to train a cat, you must use positive reinforcement, which basically means bending to the will of your cat while letting your cat dominate you in return.
