Firefighters are trained to run into a burning building to look for and rescue people. What many people don’t realize is that firefighters are also trained to look for and rescue pets from a burning building.

In Baltimore, a home caught fire and firefighters fought the blaze for 40 minutes. They rescued a cat that was unconscious, but firefighters gave the cat extra oxygen and revived the cat.

The next time you think of firefighters only for rescuing cats from trees and telephone poles, remember that firefighters can also rescue your cat from a burning building as well. It’s good to know that firefighters can save cats because the fire department is one good use of taxes that actually helps people instead of lining the pockets of crooked politicians.
