Most people think that cats only care about themselves, but if you think that, you’re probably actually thinking about politicians. The truth is that cats do care about themselves, but sometimes they actually care for others (which is something you can rarely say about politicians).
A Hungarian hiker got lost on a hiking trail near the Swiss resort of Gimmelwald. Thinking he might have to spend the night in the hills, the hiker sprained an ankle and rested. That’s when a cat appeared.
“Then he was walking and kept looking at me to follow [and] led me straight to the path that would take me back down to the valley.”
Once the cat led the hiker back to the village, it wandered away. The next time you think a cat won’t care about you, try getting lost in the mountains. Chances are good no cat will rescue you, but if one does, don’t be surprised.
