Police in New South Wales, Australia recently had a pest problem. Their horse stables were infested with vermin. To get rid of these pests, the police enlisted a cat. Now they made that cat part of the Sydney Mounted Police.

Troop cat Ed diligently patrols the stables while the stalls are being mucked out, and then goes to take a nap. So far Ed’s patrols has kept the vermin down and the horses happy. Who says cats can’t help the police?
