In Kafka’s classic, “The Metamorphosis,” a man wakes up one day to find that he’s a giant cockroach. Now US publisher Quirk Books, the publishers of “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies,” has come up with a unique take on Kafka’s story called “The Meowmorphosis.”
Instead of waking up as a giant cockroach, Gregor Samsa wakes up one day to find that he’s been turned into an adorable kitten. Now his existential dilemma is how will he pay his bills as a cute kitten that everyone wants to hold and pet?
If you never quite understood or cared for Kafka’s original text, perhaps you’ll prefer this much cuter version involving a kitten.
