There are two problems. One, seniors are often lonely and long for companionship. Two, cats need homes. To solve this problem, a nonprofit in Tucson, Arizona now pairs cats with seniors.

Hearts That Purr Feline Guardians owns the cats but brings them to visit seniors. The cats get a foster home and the seniors get the companionship of a cat. Now everyone’s happy although seniors must now be forced to empty litter boxes and feed the cats everyday, but if that’s the price of keeping seniors mobile and active, then cats will be happy to boss them around for their own food.
