A water cake is a Japanese rice cake, also known as Mizu Shingen Mochi. Curiously, water cake is both solid and liquid at the same time. If you don’t eat it within 30 minutes, it disappears.

Twitter user @mithiruka has posted pictures of her latest water cake creation that looks just like a curled up sleeping cat. Served like regular water cake, this dessert goes well with a side of kinako powder and brown sugar syrup.

If you like the idea of eating a dessert that looks like your favorite pet, then you might be interested in getting a cat that looks like a water cake for your own home. Unlike a real cat, a water cake cat will disappear in 30 minutes.
