Imagine living with a roommate who ignores you all the time, breaks your precious belongings, and scratches up your furniture. Would you tolerate that type of behavior for very long?
For most people, the answer would be no, unless, of course, that roommate happens to be a cat. For some odd reasons, humans let cats get away with practically anything (murder, if possible) and yet they still love them.
Perhaps the real reason people love cats is because people are irrational. Cats may be cute and fluffy, but so are other animals. Yet humans give cats a place in their heart and home while turning other animals away. The real answer may be that people like cats because they’re cats.
