29-year-old Wes King of Covington served more than seven years in the army. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress after returning from duty, but he did find found comfort in a kitten named Steven.
That’s when cat food maker “Meow Mix” came up with an idea. To celebrate National Cat Day, they put up a series of murals across Chicago and made one of the murals focus on King and Steven.
If you can’t hug a veteran, at least hug a cat. The more kindness humans show towards cats, the more cats will show kindness in return.
