Cats are like little kids. You spend a wade of cash buying them the most expensive toy you can find and they wind up completely ignoring the toy and playing with the cardboard box and the bubble wrap that came inside. Cats are no different when it comes to playing with everything but the expensive toys you bought them.

If you’re stumped for a toy your cat will play with, start with any toy with a feature since this stimulates the cat’s imagination that the toy is actually a bird. You can also try lasers along with tin foil crumpled into a ball.

Whatever you do, make sure any makeshift toys you give your cat can’t be easily swallowed such as string or yawn. Cats just ant to have fun, but fortunately it doesn’t have to come at the expense of your pocketbook.
