Atchoum is a hairy Persian kitten from Canada who has thousands of fans on social media, with more than 162,000 followers on Instagram. What makes Atchoum particularly noticeable is her rare congenital condition called hypertricosis (also known as werewolf syndrome).
This hormonal condition causes fast and continual hair growth and the thickening of claws. Because her claws kept growing so fast, her owner, in Repentigny, Quebec, had her declawed for safety reasons. Despite her strange condition, Atchoum is still a lovable cat underneath all that fast growing fur.
