Like many cities, New York has a large community of feral cats. Since New York can get cold in the winter, Paula DiGioia, a graphic designer who lives in the Rockaways with her husband, had created heated kitty pods for the feral cat population.
Of course, Paula only has a handful of heated kitty pods for the feral cats in her neighborhood, but at least they can stay warm in the winter while remaining outdoors where they can roam freely. Keeping feral cats warm is just a small way to helping make the lives of cats a little bit better.
