When the Takayesu family first moved to Maui, Hawaii, they adopted a cat named James, a female tortoiseshell tabby named by the son after a Thomas the Tank character. Sadly, James disappeared and the Takayesu family eventually adopted dogs.
Fifteen years later, the Maui Humane Society called Takayesu and said that they found her cat. Apparently James had been microchipped and appeared well-cared for. Now James is back with his family that he left fifteen years ago.
Where James went during those fifteen years may never be known, but the fact is that James appears to have lived a happy life and is now back home again.
