A couple in Calgary learned the hard way how to recover their lost cat. when their at, Paul, went missing, someone found him and took him to a veterinarian, who turned the cat over to the Calgary Humane Society. Because Paul didn’t have a microchip or a collar, the Humane Society allowed someone else to adopt Paul.

Meanwhile, Paul’s owners learned that Paul had been adopted from the Humane Society so they offered a $5,000 reward for his safe return. Fortunately the people who had adopted Paul returned him to his original owners. This harsh lesson shows the importance of microchipping your cat to insure its return to you in case it should get lost. If you value your cat, get it microchipped today.
