If you happen to be in Southeast London, make sure you visit the Catford district. To identify their district, the people of Catford put a giant fiberglass cat reaching down to paw at the “F” in the sign, wearing a mischievous grin.

Unfortunately, some people in the Catford district didn’t like the cat and proposed taking it down. That’s when other residents petitioned to keep the cat on the sign for generations to enjoy. As a result of overwhelming support, the Catford Cat will now stay on the sign, which goes to show you the power of cats when it comes to politics.
