Nick Bruel created and draws Bad Kitty, a cartoon cat that from of the basis of children’s books where readers get to follow the antics of a mischievous cat. Nick says he got the idea for Bad Kitty based on named Zou-zou that he owned when he was little. “Zou-zou was a small cat…who had the deepest black fur of any cat I had ever known all over every inch of her body except for a single, elegant tuft of white fur on her chest.”

Bad Kitty may be based on Zou-zou but its behavior is based on every ornery cat that has ever existed. As any cat owner can tell you, Bad Kitty could be any cat that thinks it’s the most important creature on the face of the Earth.
