Cats always seem to land on their feet, so back in the 60s, NASA scientist were curious how cats would handle falling in a zero-gravity environment. To simulate zero-gravity, NASA used an airplane that flies up and then plummets down to Earth, creating a temporary feeling of weightlessness.

The end result is that cats can’t land on their feet when they don’t know which way is up and which way is down. Still these old video footage form NASA experimenting with cats has turned into the first early cat videos. If you like watching cats on YouTube, then you’ll enjoy watching cats flip around in zero-gravity as well.
