When most people think of a museum, they think of old vehicles like cars or planes, or dinosaur bones and stuffed animals on display. What most people don’t think about is a museum dedicated to cats.
Yet that’s exactly what the American Museum of the House Cat in North Carolina offers. “My mission now is to display my collection in a museum where these items can be shared and enjoyed by all cat lovers, and provide a place where everyone can learn more about the house cat,” said Harold Sims, the creator of the house cat museum.
The next time you’re in North Carolina, drop by the house cat museum and honor your favorite pet. Perhaps one day this museum could be as famous as the Smithsonian museum in Washington D.C.
