When most people lose a cat, it’s heart-breaking because owners often never find their missing cat again. In Canada, Freda Watson lost her black and white cat, George, ten years ago and never thought she’d see him again.

Then someone found George wandering on the street and took him to a local animal shelter. The shelter staff found George had an identifying tattoo and managed to track down the owner’s sister-in-law, who contacted the actual owner.

So make sure your cat has a microchip or tattoo to identify you. With so many stories of missing cats found again, there’s always hope that your cat will one day return to you years later.
