If a cat howls at night, chances are good it’s trying to tell you something. The key is to find a way to satisfy the cat’s needs without going financially or emotionally bankrupt in the process.

Many cats yowl out of boredom or fear, so look for the root causes of this behavior. If a cat is bored, spend your life savings buying toys constantly and don’t be surprised when your cat plays with the cardboard box instead of the expensive toy.

If your cat is fearful, find ways to de-stress your cat including expensive spa treatments or a safer environment. Behavior problems are almost always the result of a cat wanting something and not getting it, so do your best to decipher your cat’s howling to keep it (and you) happy.
