The 1979 horror/science fiction film, “Alien,” captured the imagination of movie goers from he moment it was released. While most people remember this tory of an alien hunting down crew members in a spaceship, some people may not remember that one of the survivors of the ship was a cat named Jones.
Now rare promotional photographs of Sigourney Weaver and the cat have appeared. Strangely in these promotional pictures, Sigourney Weaver and the cat look happy, which seems odd when you consider the pictures are supposed to promote the movie “Alien.”
Perhaps studio executives thought “Alien” would appeal to cat lovers who wanted to see a movie with a cat in it. In any event, these promotional pictures show the cat that survived an alien, which shows even alien monsters can’t defeat a fluffy feline.
