Like many cat owners, Tariq Khoyratty has a cat named Nelson who likes to go in and out. Rather than act as a doorman for the cat every time the cat howls, Tariq wanted to install a cat flap in his door, but the landlord refused. That’s when Tariq built a 23-foot ladder instead.
The ladder extends from the second-story window to the ground. Initially Tariq coaxed Nelson into using the ladder by building a smaller one. Once Nelson got used to walking up and down a ladder, Tariq built a larger one. Now Nelson can stroll up and down the ladder to go in and out.
