Just as people can get the hiccups, so can cats. Of course when cats get the hiccups, it may look rather strange. In general, the occasional hiccups aren’t anything to worry bout but if they persist, then it might merit looking at more closely.
Cats may hiccup if they eat too much too quickly, so try giving your cat smaller portions. Also make sure there’s plenty of water nearby so your cat can get a drink. What’s probably not a good idea is scaring your cat since your cat probably won’t forgive you and will seek revenge to get even.
