Back in January, a brown striped cat named Badger went missing. The family posted “lost cat” signs in their San Diego neighborhood and on social media channels, but they never found Badger. Even worse, they had to move to Washington, reducing the chance they would ever find Badger again.
Then a San Diego County shelter got Badger and scanned for a microchip. Because of that microchip, they were able to identify Badger and come back to retrieve him after seven long months.
How Badger managed to survive on his own for seven months is a mystery, but the family paid for his flight to Washington and now Badger is back with his family in their new home. If you think microchips aren’t important, think again and get your cat microchipped before its too late.
