Many senior citizens once had cats but lost them through old age. Likewise, many cats had owners who passed away or are unable to care for them any more due to illness or other circumstances. That means there’s a large population of senior citizens who want cats and older cats who need homes.
That’s why Folsom’s Big Sky Ranch/Catnip Foundation has started a program pairing older cats with senior citizens who want a cat. Now senior citizens get a cat to care for and older cats get to find a loving home so everyone wins.
