The people of Turkey love cats. That’s why the Turkish city of Mersin decided to protect feral cats by building a special cat playground called Meow Park.
The park has barriers to keep dogs (and humans) from entering so that way cats will have a safe place to eat, sleep, and play, free from any possible dangers. The park will also include security cameras to watch over the felines and note if any are sick and in need of medical attention.
If taxpayer money can be spent keeping cats safe in Turkey, you have to wonder when similar cat parks will appear in other parts of the world.
