Ragdoll cat, Matilda, was a fixture at the Algonquin Hotel for the past seven years. Unfortunately, Matilda recently suffered a stroke and passed away.
Matilda was 11-years old and had recently given up her duties at the Algonquin Hotel for a quiet retirement in an animal sanctuary where she could rest without being bothered by tourists trying to take her picture.
Fortunately the hotel has adopted a new cat called Hamlet to take her place, but Matilda will still be missed.
