With politicians routinely lying and deceiving people on a regular basis, it’s no wonder few people trust their government or the people running it anymore. That’s why many people prefer cats over politicians.
In Alaska, Stubbs the cat ran as mayor of Talkeetna and apparently did just as good a job as a human. In 2016, Rhode Island’s Stump and Kentucky’s Limberbutt McCubbins even ran for President of the United States. Given the two human choices for President, it’s easy to see how a cat would have been a vast improvement.
The next time you see a politician running for office, just remember that a cat would likely do a better job. When you realize cats are more qualified for political office than most humans, you can see why cats are so beloved around the world.
