Cat cafes have taken over the world but now there’s a new variation. Instead of going to hang out with cats and enjoy a snack and a beverage, why not just go to a place and pet a cat for a fixed fee instead.

That’s the idea behind the Crescent City Cat club. A $7 entrance fee gets you inside where you can pet a cat. The money goes towards helping feed and shelter the stray cats while giving people the chance to adopt one if they like.

People on vacation who miss their own cats, or people unable to have a cat due to there housing situation can enjoy visiting cats for a fee and know their money is going to a good cause.
