Many people abandon cats and expect them to live on their own. While many feral cats do survive, they often need food, shelter, and medical care. That’s why a group of volunteers called El Dorado County Humane Society’s Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) spend their time capturing feral cats and getting them neutered and vaccinated.

Feral cats deserve a decent life too so if there isn’t a similar volunteer organization helping feral cats in your neighborhood, perhaps it’s time to start one yourself. Helping feral cats may seem like a thankless job, but just knowing you’re helping a less fortunate animal is often thanks enough.
