Four years ago, Honey the cat was found by a veterinarian clinic worker who took the cat in. Honey was malnourished but after some tender loving care, Honey soon recovered her health and became the clinic’s unofficial cat nurse, visiting patients as they healed.

“If the patients are nervous, Honey will sit herself down near them and purr. She’s really great at reading situations and whether she needs to stay near them or whether she needs to come right up to them and cuddle with them,” Lucie Havelka, one of the clinic’s veterinarians, said.

Unfortunately, a court ruled that Honey could not stay in the clinic due to the risk of spreading disease among patients. Now the clinic is launching a petition to keep Honey in the clinic to care for the other patients. Perhaps to further reduce the spread of disease, the courts can order the humans out of the clinic as well.
