Mrs. Carey Geipel is a 4th-grade teacher in Virginia and one day she heard meowing in her classroom. After peeking out the window, she thought that someone’s cell phone had a meowing ringtone, but when she lifted up the top of one student’s backpack, she peeked inside and spotted a cat.

“I unzip the backpack and a cat’s head POPS out!” Mr.s Geipel wrote in her post, accompanied by a photo of herself holding somewhat frightened-seeming, but very pet-able, white and grey kitty cat.

The teacher called the student’s mother who picked up the cat. As a general rule, cats don’t like being kept confined in a backpack and stuck in school all day long, just like most kids.
