One hugely popular video game is Overwatch, created by Blizzard Entertainment, and one of Overwatch’s characters is named Brigitte, who happens to like cats. If a cartoon character likes cats, the implication is that she must be worth our admiration and respect.

Blizzard’s nod to cats just shows the power of felines in both the real world and the virtual world of video games. Cats have already taken over the Internet. Now they’re poised to take over the video game industry as well. Perhaps in the future, every video game will need to find a way to cater to cat lovers.
