Residents in a neighborhood heard a cat meowing and thought that a cat had gotten trapped under a house. When police officers crawled under the suspected house, they found nothing. Eventually officers tracked the sound of the meowing to an abandoned well.
Police lowered a trap filled with foot down the 40 foot well and after several days, the cat finally was hungry enough to walk in and get trapped. The cat is now being examined and if nobody claims it, it will be put up for adoption, but at least the cat is safe.
