Students often have a hard time adjusting to life in college. That’s because so many new experiences occur and students may not have a clear sense of direction so they’re often confused and scared.

So when Georgian Court University decided to help pre-veterinary students get hands-on experience with animals, they created The Cat Room. Now pre-veterinary students can hang out and play with cats.

Yet The Cat Room now has another unexpected purpose. All students, beyond just pre-veterinary students, can come to The Cat Room and play with cats. This can help relieve stress from the everyday problems of college life and growing up. Who knew that cats could one day be a college requirement?
