Cats are more than just companions or furry overlords disguised as harmless pets. In legal sense, a cat is also considered property, which means any malicious act against that property could be a criminal offense.
Perhaps we could get our governments to respond faster to real problems if we only pointed out how current laws are harming cats. The way people love cats so much means we could use cats to help improve the world faster than relying on actual charity and compassion for one another.
