Michele Foster adopted Rubble as a kitten on her 20th birthday May 1988. Thirty years later, Rubble is still alive, bringing joy to Michele’s life and snaring the world record for the oldest cat in the world.

Rubble is the equivalent of 137 in human years and is a Maine Coon cat. Rubble’s vet, Shaun Moore, said: “We recently had this amazing cat in for a check up and to celebrate his 30th birthday. Rubble is quite likely to be the oldest cat in the UK and is still going strong. He is on medication for his blood pressure but apart from that, he is in remarkably good health being.”

No matter how long your own cat may live, they can bring happiness to your life in ways that no other companion can do. Take care of your own cat and yourself so the two of you can spend many long yers together.
