Few people can look at a kitten and not feel overwhelmed by cuteness radiating out of those tiny little faces that mask a devious mastermind inside that furry skull. If you’re planning to adopt a kitten, then make sure you and your kitten start off catering to your kitten’s needs right away.

The first six weeks are the most crucial because you can shape their personality and character right from the start. At this early stage, focus on keeping your cat healthy. When your kitten is eight weeks old, get its first set of shots in to immunize it. Then check for worms.

Remember, kittens may be cute and cuddly, but their health needs should always come first before anything else. By taking care of a kitten’s health early, you can help improve the chances that your kitten will be around for years to come to shred your drapes and knock over your vases.
