Cats often get stereotyped as aloof and distant animals. Yet as any cat owner nows, cats can be just as affectionate as other types of animals. So incase you aren’t sure if your cat likes you or not, you might want to look for one or more of these signs of affection.

First, kneading is a common sign of affection because this is the first time your cat may expend energy while you enjoy a massage. Second, head butting is another sign of affection, although it only works with cats and not between other people.

If you think cats can’t be affectionate, chances are good you may not be liked by your cats, which has nothing to do with whether they’re affectionate or not.
