Fashion shows usually highlight different designers’ creations without doing much for the general public. That’s what makes the cat fashion show at The Algonquin Hotel different. Called “The Purring ’20s,” this fashion show is meant to raise money for the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals.

This organization supports 150 animal shelters across the five boroughs and will get 100 percent of the proceeds from tickets, raffles and the silent auction. So if you like fashion and cats, and want to help raise money to care for cats, attend “The Purring ’20s” fashion show and support a good cause.
