When you leave your home for the day to go to work, you may wonder if your cat misses you. The simple answer is no. Cats don’t need you or anyone. They just need someone to clean their litter boxes and open cans of cat food.
Cats essentially are solitary creatures, but if you want to give your cat company, get another cat. Generally kittens will adapt to another cat easily while older cats will not. Still, get cats near the same age and they’ll be able to keep each other amused and ignore you completely when you do return home.
