Even though cats need regular health checkups (an often get better health care than their owners), cats don’t always like going to the vet. To help make the trip tot he vet less traumatic for both you and your cat, take some time to prepare your cat before hand.
Handle your cat like a vet would handle it. This gets your cat used to the type of examination a vet will likely conduct. Get your cat used to being in a cat carrier. Going anywhere will likely frighten a cat so get your cat to learn that the carrier is a familiar, comfortable, and safe place to be.
