Ryan Shea, 36, a registered nurse had a beloved cat who passed away. That inspired her to devote her life to finding homeless cats homes. Now after a successful Kickstarter program, she’s able to open her own cat cafe.

Called The Shabby Tabby, this new cat cafe on Long Island offers people a chance to enjoy a snack or beverage while enjoying the company of cats. Naturally if you find a cat you like, you can adopt it and take it home.

With The Shabby Tabby, homeless cats can either find a forever home or stay at the cat cafe so they’ll have good lives in either case. The next time you’re in Long Island, visit The Shabby Tabby and consider playing with or adopting a cat today.
