Cats are not dogs, yet people often try to treat them that way. While dogs are generally friendly and like people to pet them, cats are often more skittish and shy. While some cats enjoy company, many more do not so you may be surprised that the type of behavior your cat may not enjoy after all.
First, tummy rubs may be wonderful to some cats, but for most cats, don’t try to touch their exposed belly because that might feel like a threat to the cat. Also don’t pick up a cat unless you’re sure it wants to be held.
