The wildfires in Northern California have destroyed thousands of acres, homes, and taken many lives. While many people fled and escaped in time, many others did not. In the rush to get to safety, many cats were left behind.
While investigating a devastated area, firefighters from the Foster City Fire Department heard a meowing and discovered a cat hiding in the brush. They managed to coax is out and give it much needed food and water.
Hopefully the cat’s owner will see the cat on social media and claim it. Otherwise the Foster City Fire Department may have just adopted a new mascot for the fire station.
